1. STATE OF UTAH
Of course not everyone in Utah supported Proposition 8, but Utahns gave at least $3.6 million in donations in support
of Proposition 8. Also 62% of Utah residents are Mormons. The Mormon Church told its members to commit time and
money to passing Proposition 8. Thousands of church members were Proposition 8 volunteers and gave tens of millions
of dollars to passing proposition 8. Ninety percent of the pro-Proposition 8 door knockers were Mormons. Nearly half of
the 40 million dollars given to pass Proposition 8 was given by Mormons.
Please call the Utah Tourism Board, and tell them you are canceling your trip to Utah and are Boycotting their state
due to the Mormon Church and Utah residents support for Prop 8, which ended marriage rights for same-sex couples.

Please cancel any travel plans you have in the state, and tell them why. Some people are making reservations just to
cancel them in order to make an impact. If you are planning an event or convention for your company or organization,
consider San Francisco or Lake Tahoe instead!
2. A-1 STORAGE
Terry Caster, the owner of A-1 storage, and his family gave $693,000 to the Yes on Prop 8 campaign. This was the
second largest contribution in California to the Yes on h8 campaign!! Caster spoke to the San Diego Union Tribune
in May of 2008 and said that gay marriage threatens society, Caster says, "Without solid marriage, you are going
to have a sick society." According to the newspaper, Caster was behind getting his friend Doug Manchester to give
$125,000 to the campaign. Manchester owns the Grand Hyatt Hotel, and is number 6 on the Top 10 Boycott list!
Caster along with his eight (yes eight) sons and daughters gave almost $700,000 to the Yes on H8 campaign, which
included $400,000 just five days prior to the election!
A-1 Self Storage boasts 30 locations throughout California containing over 3 million square feet of storage. There are A-1
facilities in San Diego County, Los Angeles County, Orange County, and a few in the Bay Area. If you have belongings
stored in one of the many A-1 facilities spread across the state—take your stuff out if you can and inform A-1 that you are boycotting them because of their support of Proposition 8, and going with one of their competitors like Public Storage. If you don’t have stuff in storage there, tell A-1 you are boycotting and will not be doing business with them because of Prop 8. Also, ask A-1 why they gave so much money to take away marital rights for same-sex couples.
Here are the numbers to call:

Cinemark probably has a location near you, so please join the boycott! For San Francisco area residents, this includes Century Theater Daly City. PLEASE join our boycott!

Dear Cinemark,
I just wanted to let you know that because your CEO, Allan Stock, donated $9999 to support Prop 8, my extended family here in California have decided to boycott your theatres. We are encouraging our friends to do so, also.
Mr. Stock has the right to spend his money to support a hateful piece of legislation like Prop 8, which stripped gay citizens of California of their lawful right to marry as granted by the California Supreme Court -- and likewise, my family and our friends have the freedom not to spend our money at his company's theatres.
There's a Cinemark Theatre near my home, but there are a lot of other theatres nearby, too -- and their CEOs didn't give money to a hate-mongering, freedom-limiting political cause like Prop 8.
Sincerely yours,

4. BOLTHOUSE FARMS JUICES AND NATURAL PRODUCTS
Boycott Bolthouse Farms juices, salad dressing, produce, ect. (Not to be confused with Butthole Farms.) Bolthouse Farms was founded by William Bolthouse and was expanded by his son William Bolthouse, Jr. The company made the family wealthy, and the Bolthouse Foundation was created by William Bolthouse Jr. and his wife to support charitable and religious organizations whose philosophy is consistent with "Evangelical Christianity."
William Bolthouse, Jr. gave $100,000 on April 3, 2008 to the Yes on Proposition 8 campaign, which helped it qualify for the ballot. Bolthouse’s early support enabled the campaign to hire paid petition circulators who collected the requisite signatures to appear on the ballot. In 2005, Bolthouse sold 72% of the business to a private equity firm. Bolthouse daughter and his son in law, Andrew Radandt now own the remaining 28% family share of the company. Radandt now serves as the company’s chairman. In response to recent criticism over family support for Proposition 8, the company has recently extended benefits to same-sex partners of employees.
