Christians and Mormons Fascists are trying their best to write their religious views into law, and had a recent success with Proposition 8. Although this was a setback, it is a wake-up call for nonhaters, gay civil rights proponents and supporters of the separation of church and state. The word fascism is used here not pejoratively, but in accordance with the tradition of fascism which involves state discrimination against minorities based on religion.
Join us with the Top 10 boycott, and get active and contact the people and companies we are boycotting. Tell them that you don’t buy from anti-gay bigots and they are haters who are scapegoating LGBT people.
The religious bigotry that they are espousing gives permission to mentally imbalanced homophobes to commit violent acts against LGBT folks. Violence against LGBT’s is on the rise. In 2008, an average of one LGBT person was violently murdered in the United States every other week! This is unacceptable, and the religious fascists have blood on their hands.
Once the haters realize they are on the wrong side of history and there are consequences for their support of religious fascism, they will be less likely to give money to try to write religious bigotry into law.
Some people who voted for 8 claim to be friends of the gay community, but just don’t want to give us marital rights. You cannot be a supporter of the gay community without supporting full equal rights for gay people. Marital denial creates instability for our families, social problems, legal problems, and even health problems. Either we are equal under the law or we are not, and until we have full rights, we are second class citizens.
The Top 10 Boycott is a targeted boycott of companies and the State of Utah. Although you should not give your money to any business who donated to h8, we believe the targeted boycott will have the most impact. If there is a dentist, lawyer or accountant in your community, by all means boycott them and let them know you are boycotting them, but please also participate with the Top 10 Boycott and file the IRS complaints against the Mormon Church, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
We want to make sure that there’s a heavy cost to businesses and organizations that support hate-mongering causes. Only with your help and support and we accomplish the goal of changing these companies and organization’s behavior, so please inform others to join our Boycott!! Whether you or gay, straight, bi or trans, if you support equal rights, we need your help. Please contact these businesses and let them know they are being boycotted!!
We are taking the Osmonds off the Boycott list, thanks to Marie's recent decision to make a public stand in support of same-sex marriage. Thank you Marie for your support! Please educate your brother Donnie and the rest of your family!
